Sharon is now in 5th grade. She told me a story about her second name, Anyango, is her mother’s name. She didn’t take her father’s name because she never knew him. Her mother passed away a couple years after she was born. She stayed with her grandmother for a couple years before coming to the Hope Centre. Sharon is so precious. A lot of people say that she is very quiet but I never have experience that side of her. Sharon is crazy literally. Her laugh is so contagious everywhere she goes. Something I will never forget, last year Sharon’s uncle died she asked me to go to the funeral with her. I think my heart broke sitting with her through the tears. I asked her what her favorite memory of us is and she said planting the mango tree. We have planted two mango seeds, continuously watered them, and checked on them. She has such a good sense of humor and can turn anything into a laughing matter. Sharon is so precious to me. She has decided that she wants to pilot when she grows up. Sharon has asked you to pray for her exams and her schooling. I would like to ask you to pray for her as she approached high school that she would stand strong in what she believes and that the evil so prevalent all around wont entangle her.
