Joshua is now a 5th grader! He has grown immensely over the last year, looking much older than an 11 year old. He says his favorite subject in school is math because it is so easy for him to understand! Joshua proficiency in school has improved exponentially over the last year, and for some subjects in school to come easily to him is such a blessing. After secondary, Joshua expressed his desire to join the Kenyan Army. He says he loves his country, and he wants to protect his people from those who try to harm them. Joshua arrived at the Hope Centre in 2013, and has several brothers and sisters that live here with him. On holiday, they go back to stay with their grandmother. There, Joshua enjoys playing soccer and digging in their garden. He also takes on the responsibility of tending to their cows. Joshua loves his grandmother very much, but he is aware of how fortunate is his to be at the Hope Centre. He is thankful to have his school fees paid for, and that he gets to live with all of his brothers and sisters in a safe, loving place.
